Eric Whitacre’s rallying cry “Choir Nerds of the World Unite!” is taken up on Culture File this time by Greg Beardsell and the Irish Youth Chamber Choir.
Not the best recording of us. One of our second sopranos sticks out a bit too obvious. We actually sound much more class in concert :) So proud to be part of this choir.
ARE YOU OKAY?
NO! I WAS IN THE ELEVATOR AT WORK AND THAT GOTYE SONG CAME ON. EVERYONE STARTED CRYING. I HAD TO COME HOME.
‘SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW’?
UH HUH.
DAMN IT, I THOUGHT THEY BANNED THAT SONG FROM PUBLIC RADIO.
WHY WOULD THEY PLAY THAT? OH MY GOD I’M GOING TO BE SAD FOREVER.

MARLENE.
I … DIDN’T EXPECT TO SEE YOU HERE.
AFTER YOU LEFT ME AND MOVED OFF TO BERLIN WITH THAT PAINTER I ASSUMED WE’D NEVER MEET AGAIN.
I SPENT SOME MONTHS AT SEA … TRYING TO FORGET YOU. I DABBLED IN OPIATES …
MY GOD YOU LOOK STUNNING.
